Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of animation, music, comedy and...cycling in Sylvain Chomet's Belleville Rendez-vous.

Released in 2003, Belleville Rendez-vous is writer and director Sylvain Chomet’s first feature-length film. It is an enchanting and whimsical comedy animated film that follows the thrilling journey of Madame Souza and her loyal dog, Bruno, as they set out to rescue her kidnapped grandson, Champion, a Tour de France cyclist. Along the way, they encounter the eccentric Belleville Sisters, a trio of ageing jazz musicians who help them navigate Belleville's peculiar and vibrant world. The heartwarming story is conveyed primarily through song and pantomime with a unique animation style and captivating soundtrack. Join us for a genuinely delightful cinematic experience promising to charm audiences of all ages.

Belleville Rendez-vous was nominated for two Academy Awards: Best Animated Feature, the first PG-13 animated nomination in that category, and Best Original Song. Although losing the Best Animated Feature award to 'Finding Nemo', it won the César for Best Film Music, the Genie Award for Best Motion Picture and the BBC Four World Cinema Award in 2004
